Project Concept

Manhattan, 2008

Walking around New York City seeing tourists constantly pointing their cameras upward I thought that I would do the same—to see what they were seeing and to see what I could see. Over the course of one year, the images seemed to simply fall from the sky. They all looked very 20th century. I wanted to call the project ‘Modern Pictures.’
