Sculpture
Project Concept
Periodically I have returned to my original interest in sculpture. This seems to happen every four or five years. I have discarded much and no specific projects have resulted but I feel there is a consistent theme. Beginning in the late 1960s with functional objects (lamps, furniture, etc...) and continuing with pure sculptural forms, the pieces have always been based in reality: a ¾ scale hat and briefcase, a full-scale reworking of two Egyptian figures (unfinished and discarded) and recently a group of small scale highway construction cones, barrels and barriers. My interest in sculpture seems to continue now with bronze castings of gloves, and various other found objects.
